Abigail Olcott

Registered Dietitian

Growing up in central IL, I was involved in athletics from a young age. I ran cross country and track for seven years, resulting in several state medals. I continued my career at the collegiate level, where I was an all-conference athlete and qualifier for the NAIA national indoor track and field meet. I know all too well what it is like to show up every day training hard for the competition you love.

I also know what it is like to face obstacles during training. Underfueling, GI issues, iron deficiency… all of those problems plagued me at some point in my career, and I saw many of my teammates suffer from nutrition-related problems as well. Most concerning was the prevalence of disordered eating I saw during my eleven years of sport. I started Midwest Performance Nutrition because I saw a need in the athletic community to prioritize non-diet, weight-inclusive nutrition education. My approach is informed by Health at Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, and evidence-based sports nutrition principles.

I also have experience working at multiple levels of care treating eating disorder patients of all ages, though I have a special interest in working with adolescents and their families.

Education wise - I have a B.S. in Dietetics from Olivet Nazarene University, where I was a member of the track team. I went on to complete my M.S. in Applied Exercise Science at Concordia University Chicago and my dietetic internship at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. I am a licensed dietitian in 4 states and a board-certified specialist in sports dietetics.

Adrienne McChesney

Performance Dietitian

I'm a performance dietitian, specializing in eating disorder recovery, perinatal nutrition, and fueling active lifestyles. I have experience in both the clinical and research settings as they apply to performance nutrition. As a researcher, my background is in military nutrition and nutritional areas of concern in military/active populations, such as energy deficit and associated performance decrements, sex differences in performance outcomes, immune function, the military eating environment, and eating behaviors. As a clinician, I work with adolescent/adult athletes and active populations to manage fueling concerns/performance optimization, recovery from eating disorders and REDs, and women who are in the perinatal stage of life seeking nutritional guidance among a changing body.

I graduated from Purdue University with my Masters degree and completed my dietetic internship training at Mayo Clinic. I've been a board certified sports dietitian since 2018. I grew up as a competitive figure skater and collegiate dancer and had my own struggles with REDs and navigating unhealthy messaging about food from coaches and those in my inner circle. In my private practice, I hope to have a positive impact on women finding confidence in their fueling and make nutrition feel less overwhelming.

Courtney Stone

Sports and Performance and Eating Disorder Psychotherapist

I am an LCSW working at the intersection of eating disorders and sports performance with training in CBT, ACT, DBT and Psychodynamic psychotherapy. My training in eating disorders began at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital on the Adolescent Eating Disorders unit. My foundations in sports performance were founded in a Postgraduate certificate in Sport Social Work from University of Michigan. I know support the training of clinicians in eating disorders at the University of Southern California counseling center.

Courtney is a licensed clinical social worker passionate about infusing therapy with real life. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kentucky.

Courtney’s path to therapy wasn’t a straight line—she began her career in the entertainment industry, helping bring other people’s stories to life. Through that experience, Courtney realized something important: she didn’t just want to tell people’s stories—she wanted to help people find their voice and share their own stories. That’s what brought her to this work.

Courtney’s approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and infused with personality. Healing happens in a space where you can show up fully as yourself—without judgment, without pretense. Together, Courtney will journey with you to create that kind of space, so you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals in a way that feels supportive and empowering.

Movement is also an important part her life, and when it supports your goals and is clinically appropriate, Courtney integrates it into the therapeutic process. Movement is more than exercise—it’s a powerful, evidence-based tool for nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and reconnecting with your body. Whether using traditional talk therapy or integrating mindful movement, her goal is always the same: to provide a space where you can exhale, be yourself, and explore what matters most to you—at your own pace, in your own way.
